Infrastruktur
Here are a few recommendations for nice breakfast and lunch places. All of those are in walking distance (the location of the apartment is really good): for breakfast Joseph Brot at Landstraße or Öfferl at Wollzeile are really nice (also open on Sunday). We also like Hidden Kitchen which is right around the corner or the Meierei in the Stadtpark. My favorite Viennese Cafe is Cafe Prückel (also open on Sunday), this is good for anytime, breakfast, lunch, dinner or even coffee & cake in between. Cafe Engländer (also open on Sunday) is also one of my favorites for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Paremi Boulangerie is also very nice for breakfast, lunch or a coffee, it is a very charming place. If you would like to try nice Viennese food, check out Meisl & Schadn or Oswald & Kalb or Gmoakeller or Drei Hacken or Stadtwirt or Gasthaus Wild or Praterwirt (this one is a little farer but very good if you like meat). I recently discovered an excellent fish restaurant which is spealized on Austrian sweet water fish. It is called Fischerie and located on Praterstraße. Highly recommended! Better to have a reservation for any of those places because nowadays all restaurants seem to be full all the time. But you can also try to walk in. One of the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” is also right around the corner, the Steirereck. It is open for lunch and dinner and dining there is a real experience. It is very expensive though. I always also recommend the website viennawurstelstand to my guests. They are also on Insta. They always have fun facts and also recommend things that are currently happening. There is also a farmers market nearby, the Rochusmarkt, you can buy bio food and there are also a few restaurants. It is not as hip as the Naschmarkt but maybe a little bit more authentic. And there is a supermarket at Wien Mitte where the CAT arrives. The CAT is the best option to get from the airport to the apartment. From where the CAT arrives, it is a few minutes of walking distance to the apartment. Enjoy! Best regards, Tatiana
